As you know, IBW takes place from 16th to 23rd June this year, and I know a lot of you have already started thinking about events and celebrations for this year.

Our main theme this year is going to be shining a light on YOU, the people behind the bookshops – we have designated you as Bookshop Heroes and we will be having some fun with that concept, which we will share with you very soon.  But consider yourselves Bookshop Heroes for the rest of 2018!

Last Chance Hotel Debut from Former Indie Bookseller!

20/04/2018

Hot on the heels of LBF, we are delighted to bring you a wonderful  publisher offer for IBW this year, from Chicken House, who are publishing former indie bookseller Nicki Thornton’s debut children’s novel in June and who have created a gorgeous indie edition.

Nicki ran Mostly Books in Abingdon with her husband Mark for ten years, and is now publishing her first book.  She’s keen to visit as many indies as possible, and is a wonderful advocate for independent bookshops, given her experience of being a bookseller.
