Mark Ellis
Mark Ellis is a bestselling thriller writer from Swansea and a former barrister. He is the creator of DCI Frank Merlin, an Anglo-Spanish police detective operating in WWII London, which draws upon his parents' experience and accounts of the war. His book Merlin at War was on the CWA Historical Dagger Award list in 2019 and his most recent book Death In Mayfair is set in London in December 1941.

He is now the editor of Spear’s Magazine, a title focused on luxury lifestyle, and his first book RULE BRITANNIA was inspired by Martin Pugh’s ‘Hurrah for the Blackshirts’ - a history of fascism in Britain between the wars.
Esuantsiwa Jane Goldsmith
Esuantsiwa Jane Goldsmith is a highly celebrated feminist and political activist. Following a career in women’s organizations and international development, she founded Anona Development Consultancy, working with over 100 organizations on five continents as a dynamic facilitator and strategist. In 2015, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate for her work in Women’s Rights. Her first book, The Space Between Black and White, is published by Jacaranda and is part of #Twentyin2020, the first time a UK publisher will publish twenty works by 20 Black British writers in one year.
